One of Norm’s wishes was to have his ashes brought to Hawai‘i. Since our April return from the family reunion in his honor, Jane and I have kept his ashes amongst our literary treasures on Hawaiiana. With his upcoming 91st birthday on July 5th, we thought that it would fitting to send Norm to that place where the Sea meets the Heavens. We have chosen Laupahoehoe Point here on the Big Island of Hawai‘i. So on that Thursday morning we will bid him farewell with a wish for fair winds and following seas…. ~ Kurt, eldest son
